Over the coming days, we will share with you attainable daily habits. To kick-off our month long, daily habits blog series; we believe the best place to start is to look at your current routine. Daily habits are important; it’s also essential to focus on those activities that are not beneficial to your well-being. It’s OK to say ‘no’ in order to maintain a stress-free schedule for yourself. A great place to start will be to take inventory and prioritize your activities and commitments.
Many times your calendar dictates your daily livelihood; work, family, social commitments and your personal activities. Your daily routine can become commonplace and cause stress to keep your schedule intact. Prevent the activity you enjoy being the one you no longer gravitate towards; a break in your routine will give you real satisfaction.
So improve your day; get back to what you want. What is that? The good part is, that's for you to determine. This doesn't have to be a change each day, just try something new or different; whether it's alone, with someone or in a group. It can be as simple as quiet time, start a journal, mark an item off your bucket list, ask a friend their favorite activity, try a new food or change your workspace or location. Now, make of list whether it's an old hobby or new adventure; you will be able to check them off one-at-a-time, on your time. Open up to all the new possibilities and endeavors; the results will make a positive, lasting change in your daily routine!
