Increase employee interaction
The goal is 100% participation, is this a reality? We believe through clear-cut components, education, and support, anything is possible.

Employer responsibility vs. employee impact
When an employer offers a wellness program, the pressure is on for them to seek the best offerings, tracking programs, communication for their participants. They also need a sure-fire way to inspire and engage to ensure the success of the program and its employees.

Company culture matters
Vibrant company culture is key to any organization’s success. Most employees and even candidates for employment seek companies with cultures that are engaging, leading-edge, and match their personality and expectations.

Work-life-balance being a huge factor in today’s workforce.

A wellness commitment strengthens company culture change. Devising a wellness plan to have the management of all levels and employees involved can render immediate results in company culture. Also, providing a platform where employees can meet their individualized needs can assist in a culture shift. Human Resources On Your Side

One of the most important parts of a company is its HR Department. They are in charge of the people, workforce, and human resources. This includes the employees that will eventually grow the business and make it profitable in the long run.

The HR team both have their own activities and practices. However, these two differ from each other. The activities the HR team conducts are closely associated and dove-tailed with the HR practices.

If these two disconnects, this could bring problems to the team and affect the operation of the company.

What are HR Practices?
The foundation of every HR practice is the business plan of the company. It operates in coordination with the main goal, objective and purpose of the company. The executive business plan serves as its guiding force. And, the HR functions are aligned with the business strategy of the company. HR practices also involve various methods that will help build and improve your company’s, leading to business success. This aspect is important as they strengthen the workforce that will drive the business forward.

An example of a practice done by the HR team is conceptualizing a reward system for the employees. This will also include monitoring of the outcome whether it is effective or not. Another is formulating strategies that will help prevent injuries in the workplace and creating a system that will make sure employment policies are followed.

HR practices also develop the leadership skills of employees. This includes providing motivational and leadership training programs, thus there is an opportunity for growth for everyone. Promotion is another strategy that opens avenues for growth to employees and this is commonly practiced by most HR departments.

What are HR Activities?
These are regular activities performed by the HR department. This also involves daily tasks that are important in company’s operation. HR activities also include directives from a particular HR practice. Some HR activities are, but are not limited to:
∙       Recruitment
∙       Interview
∙       Selection
∙       Hiring
∙       Payroll
∙       Surveys
∙       Training
∙       Benefits administration

The Key to Success
For a company to be successful, both HR activities and practices should work together towards the same goal. In an organization, before they perform certain activities, they would first set goals and objectives before carrying it out. Similarly, the HR department practices and activities work like that. They come hand in hand, and these two key areas cannot function alone.

The integration of these two is also known as the two-step process. The process involves establishing practices that are aligned with the company’s goals. These practices comply with safety and legalities. When this is already established the activities are then formulated, conducted and adjusted as needed.

HR Experts, Necessary for Growth
Finding an expert in human resources is the key to a successful company. The team should have the skill set and knowledge in finding the best people in their specialization.

A One Size Fits None

7/10/2019

While we understand getting to 100% participation, there is work to be done. Surprisingly, only about 15% of today’s employers provide employees with custom-made techniques; they not only need but they seek.

Migrating to robust, meaningful and resourceful wellness programs will ensure you deliver to your overall population. The journey to wellness means providing opportunities and adjusting behaviors that will develop and encourage employees to be healthier and prosperous in their daily living at work and home.

At Meliora wants to assist in creating the ‘one size fits none’ programs enveloping the critical wellness factors: mental wellbeing, financial fitness, and physical health. Each movement, however big or small will work towards each employee achieving their wellness goals; whether they want to change all three factors in their life or focus on one at a time. For most people; what motivates them, will move them!

Growth Options Are Essential
Companies and businesses grow in size, so should their wellness initiatives. You focus diligently on hiring the right employees, expand the business, create better internal procedures to ensure smooth operations. The same goes for designing and adapting the right wellness plan that will move with employees as they grow, age, and experience life changes, such as, marriage, divorce, children, aging parents, mental and chronic health issues. It is critical to select benefits and programs to support growth and change within the workforce and internal mechanics.

Put the User First
When you look at the overall wellness ‘big’ picture, it is important to put employees first. You are their compass and are truly navigating them to the programs that ‘fit’ their ‘size’ and will support them on their wellness quest.

Three things are important:
(1) understand their personality and character
(2) create or expand to meet their expectations and challenges
(3) personalize and pinpoint necessary options

How We Make a Difference
Employees are not one-size-fits-all, so you should not be compelled to adopt one wellness program to accommodate all the organizations' unique needs. No worries, we have your solution. At Meliora we strive to create a wellness program to ‘fit’ each employee and design programs for individualized, personal development and advancement. Our options and plans genuinely come in all shapes and sizes.

We work to ensure our partners meet the needs of each employee. We factor in cost per employee, out-of-pocket expenses, and affordable pricing to encourage sustainability within all programs and offerings.
We want to move the needle on employee engagement and ensure our service offers ‘one size fits none’ with our unique whole solution approach.

Let’s get started today and let us show you; size does matter!
