You know you need to drink water daily. Are you? Drinking your daily allowance of water is fundamental to your physical health.
Morning Consumption
Water is key to hydrating your body in the morning after a night-long fast. This action will assist you in waking up and a good way to flush out your body to keep you regular, which is essential to staying healthy. Your body needs and is comprised of more water than you realize. So ensure you’re giving it enough, start first thing in the morning and all throughout the day.
Lack of Intake
Dehydration can have an extreme impact on your health. No matter what your age hydration is critical. Medications or even the use of laxatives or diuretics may make you more susceptible to dehydration, further confirming the importance of your daily intake. Symptoms can be chronic fatigue and lethargy. Be conscious of an increase in sleep time. As dehydration develops, muscles become weak and may result in cramps. Headaches are a common symptom although a headache alone does not indicate dehydration. If combined with other symptoms, it is worth examining. Often you will not realize you are dehydrated. Additional visible signs include; increased thirst, dry mouth, swollen tongue, dizziness, sluggishness, fainting, inability to sweat and palpitations (consistent pounding or jumping in your heart). ). To hydrate drink, (2+ quarts) of water, a rehydration drink or sports drink to replenish fluids.
Daily Allowance
Boost your intake. If downing an 8-ounce serving every few hours seems less than appetizing try drinking smaller portions throughout the day. Keep a water bottle available, so there is always an option to take a drink. Add fresh herbs like mint, or fresh fruit or vegetables such as berries or cucumbers to give the water a different flavor and make it more palatable. Use this simple calculation to determine your daily consumption. Take your body weight and divide by 2/3 or 67%. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds you will need to drink 100 ounces of water each day.
